Celebrity Hairstyles at Oscars 2009
Well the Oscars have come around again and with it comes the usual media frenzy afterwards of who looked good and who really didn’t. Thankfully many of the stars this year managed to get it right with elegant up do’s such as Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz with just minor comments thrown around about not enough effort, not suitable for the red carpet event and suchlike.

The one thing that seemed to run true about many of the lovely ladies hairstyles this year was that they were mostly all elegant and regal in appearance. Penelope Cruz for example set the stage with an Audrey Hepburn inspired bun look whereas Kate Winslet decided upon an imitation bob with it all swept back from her pretty face.

Angelina Jolie also opted for this pretty and elegant look but with a slightly more edgy feel to it with the hair being quite as neat and as precise as some of the others were. She too had an elegant up do but with the hair looking decidedly scruffier yet still managing to look every inch the Hollywood glamour puss.

There were a few celebrities that didn’t manage to get the look quite so spot on however and this is to be expected now from such a star studded event. Heidi Klum was among the women who is sure to be seen on “How not to look” pages of glossy magazines with her hair pulled back into a bad 80’s style hairstyle and garish jewellery which was apparently worn for charity.

Despite all of her good intentions, the look just was not right for such a prestigious star studded red carpet event.
