Victoria Beckham sure is a force to be reckoned with. Not only does she have the designer wardrobe and the greatest footballer on her arm but she has three adorable kids and a previous list of hairstyles to rock all hairstyles. More recently Victoria has lopped off her long locks and gone for a somewhat extreme cut leading us into the beginning of 2009 and the cut that was first made fashionable in 2008 sets the trend for all young girls to follow in the coming year.
Revealing her new hairstyle at the 2009 Spring/Summer collection for Marc Jacob’s, Victoria’s pixie look has had girls simply drooling over the hottest style to hit our heads since the graduated bob or the “Pob” as everyone seemed to be calling it. Since then many of the coolest stars have been seen following the short style from Katie Holmes in the new Miu Miu commercial to Rihanna in her latest video, “Disturbia”
Not being one to shy away from experimenting, Victoria has been setting trends for some time now with the “Pob” being just one of the best and most sought after and also the long hair extensions that she was seen wearing just a year ago. It’s a far cry from the one length bob and black Gucci dress that won her the title of “Posh Spice” when she was a member of possible the most successful girl group of all time, The Spice Girls.

Brunettes a Step Above the Rest!
A recent study that has taken part in the UK has revealed that brunettes seem to be better in life than blondes or red heads, a claim which is set to leave the non-brunette members of the community seething!

According to the poll, three out of four people believe brunettes to be the most intelligent of all hair colors with people still believing the myth that all blondes are “dumber” than the other hair colors. 71 percent of men would choose a brunette over a blonde for their long term partners and almost all men chose them as the most confident lovers.
Kelly Brook
According to the poll which questioned over six thousand people, brunettes really are a cut above the rest and apparently they earn more than red heads or blondes in the workplace as well.
One of the comments that seem to respond to this debate perfectly was whether or not these brunettes were natural brunettes or whether they had dyed their hair which surely would make all the difference in a discussion such as this?
The rather astonishing results from this survey seem to forget the old time phrases such as “Blondes do have more fun” and “Gentlemen prefer blondes” which for many years have set the scene for blondes to lead the way, especially with such role models as Marilyn Monroe. However, these days’ men are opting for the more brown haired beauties as top of their list with women such as Angelina Jolie and Brit’s favorite, Kelly Brook topping the sexiest women polls rather than blonde figures such as Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.

Chloe Sevigny Rocks Loose Curls at the Big Love Premiere
Among the many stars that wowed crowds at the HBO’s “Big Love” 3rd Season Los Angeles Premiere, Chloe Sevigny was one that stood out above the crowd. With a simple white dress and gorgeous long blonde hair, she was every inch the beautiful blonde.
Unlike many of today’s stars, Chloe has not yet decided upon the chop of her long locks. With so many stars seen out and about with the latest bob fashion, it was refreshing to see a girl that remained true to her naturally blonde roots, letting her hair flow as long and free as it should.
Although tousled with large and loose curls, Chloe’s hair was as natural as it could be, and with such a simple hair cut, the look could have looked dull on anybody else. However, the one length long hair with a centre parting didn’t look dull or plain with the bouncing curls adding that little something extra to make the look more sexy and relaxed.
has been well known for modeling a wide range of hair styles during her modeling career but all of them seem to follow this longer length cut with the occasional fringe thrown in for good measure. Although she has been snapped with both elegant up do’s and more relaxed down styles, the loose and natural appearance seems to be her favorite and with hair that is in such good condition as Chloe’s, who will blame her for wanting to show it off?

Kate Winslet Held it Together at Film Premiere
Unlike her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes earlier this month, Kate Winslet seemed to hold it all together beautifully at the European premiere of the award winning film, “Revolutionary Road.” Walking down the red carpet with smartly turned out Leonardo DiCaprio certainly had heads turning and the pair looked as if they could just be the perfect couple despite Kate being married to Sam Mendes, the producer of the film.
Kate Winslet herself had a very classic style with a much shorter dress than the one that she wore to the awards ceremony and despite this, her hairstyle was rather similar. Opting for a short and sexy little black number with sparkling hooped earrings, her hair was tousled and sexy while still maintaining that polished look that has defined her as the classic British lady.
Her longer length bangs fell either side of her face this time instead of the sweeping to one side bangs that she had opted for at the Golden Globes. Aside from this the look was decidedly similar with the hair pulled back into a relaxed little chignon as such but this time the look was much more relaxed while still managing to be elegant.
The hair suited her dress perfectly as the garment itself was a little black number with an “X” crossover feature at the front. Any other hairstyle would have looked far too fussy for the rest of her outfit but as usual, Kate Winslet got the look spot on with the just the right amount of neutral makeup to complete the look.

Natalie Portman Shows off Ladylike Chic Hairstyle
We have seen Natalie Portman with a wide variety of funky hairstyles over the years but at the 20th annual Producers Guild Award she turned up with a look that was classic and simple but very effective.
With her long brown locks, it was a far cry from the look that we soon become used to when she her hair cut very short. In true GI Jane/Demi Moore style, Natalie shaved off her long brown hair for filming and has had a variety of hairstyles since then in the growing out process. At the awards however, she sported a lovely look that made her look very ladylike and very elegant.
With the hair worn loose and free and a side parting with some hair delicately hanging over one eye, the look managed to incorporate professionalism with sex appeal. On anyone else the look would have been far too casual for such an event but on Natalie Portman with her cute blue dress with pink sash belt and shiny gold handbag, the look was simple divine.
With so many celebrities these days going over to the short bobbed look that has become fashionable, it made a nice change to see such a pretty young girl with hair that was natural and you really couldn’t have gone any more natural with this look. Naturally long brown locks worn with very simply, barely there makeup was a look that would have been hard for women to wear but Natalie pulled it off perfectly!

Angelina Jolie Shows Off Red Carpet Hair
Angelina Jolie, well known for her stunning long locks was recently seen at the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild wearing a hairstyle that was both chic and sophisticated. Her long and loose locks were worn piled up at the back of her head, a very different style to that she had sported at the Golden Globes.
Angelina Jolie has been awarded the part of many films due to her hair. “Tomb Raider” saw the actress as the foxy chick, Lara Croft with a thin dark braid running down her back where other films such as “Gone in 60 seconds” saw Angelina with a blonde dreadlocked look that really showed off her wild side.
Turning up to this red carpet event however, she was draped elegantly over the arm of latest squeeze and father to her children, Brad Pitt and the two looked every inch the Hollywood couple.
Brad Pitt was looking very elegant in a black tuxedo and Angelina complimented him perfectly in a draping blue dress with her hair tightly tousled around her face with the most part pulled back into a very loose and sexy up do. The look was then perfected with just a simple pair of diamond earrings and some nude makeup making her look glamorous and sophisticated with just the right amount of sex appeal.
Although it can be difficult to look this good as a busy mum and career woman, Angelina Jolie pulls of the look perfectly making her the greatest role model for mothers all over the world.
